Preschool Program
Our main program, running from August to June, offers a comprehensive curriculum that prioritizes Spanish language development. We are committed to fully immersing our students in the Spanish language throughout the year. By creating an environment where Spanish is spoken consistently, our students organically develop a strong understanding of the language.
Our regular preschool sessions welcome children aged 2.5 to 5, and we offer flexible enrollment options with no minimum or maximum number of school days required.

A Typical Day
At De Colores we begin our day in the main classroom. The children are invited to move freely about the space where they will find a variety of hands-on activities. Our indoor classroom boasts a community table for meals and other group projects, a loose parts center, a block area, a home life corner, a reading nook, and other areas to explore, connect, and create.
As we near the end of exploration time, children take supervised trips to the bathroom in pairs so as not to disrupt the focused energy of the group. When this is complete, the children gather on the main rug for circle time. We come together to share conversation, to sing together, and to be in one another's company. During circle time, we give children exposure to music and games, as we believe they are powerful tools for social/emotional learning, Spanish language acquisition, and early math and literacy skills.
When we've finished meeting as a group, the children enjoy a snack and then head outdoors to play. There, children have daily access to a wooden playhouse, sand & water tables, a mud kitchen, tricycles, tree stumps and much more.
Lunch is at noon followed by independent reading and rest time. We have a clear and predictable structure to our day, with plenty of time for children to exercise interest in our environment.
